Surprisingly, Nintendo announced a release date right when it revealed the game: Fire Emblem Engage will launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch on January 20, 2023. When is the Fire Emblem Engage release date? Here’s everything we know about Fire Emblem Engage. Now the series is set to evolve once again with Fire Emblem Engage, a very different-looking mainline entry that sports a vibrant art style and lets you summon the heroes of past games. I’d say that’s probably on the latter end of probability, but godspeed you ghost-lovin’ freaks, I hope you get what you want.Fire Emblem has come a long way over the last 10 years from an obscure series on the verge of ending to one of Nintendo’s biggest franchises that has multiple spinoffs, like the Dynasty Warriors-esque Three Hopes and the massive mobile hit Fire Emblem Heroes- which is to say nothing of 2019’s widely beloved Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Many are particularly hoping to see some sweet, sweet action between Alear and Marth. But romance has been such a popular mechanic in the franchise’s later years, they’d be remiss not to give us at least a lil sum-sum. The answer is: no idea! And we probably won’t know until closer to release because that’s Nintendo’s way. Now that we have all these characters to work with, you might be asking … Byleth, who seems to be male in this iteration, which is disappointing to my gay ass but oh, well.Corrin, sweet Dragon prince(ss) trapped in Fates.Lucina, everyone’s daughter (or wife, if you’re nasty).Micaiah, one of Ike’s companions and has one of the coolest femme designs in the franchise.Ike, the closest the franchise will ever get to Berserk.Lyn, a popular Lord who traveled alongside Roy’s father Eliwood. While we’re still waiting on names and details for several other characters featured in the trailer, some Black fans are particularly excited about these two: Diamant: the Crown Prince of the neighboring kingdom of Brodia looks suspiciously like Sylvain and therefore has my romance vote.Boucheron: an axe fighter who seems as polite and milquetoast as the other knights, but with a man-bosom that puts me to shame.Etie: a fancy palace archer who, despite having a penchant for bodybuilding, looks suspiciously pequeño.Chloe is full of whimsy and has a love for the fantastical (and her design actually resembles someone over the age of 18-we got one!). Chloé: a pegasus knight sworn to Céline.Louis: a heavy knight of Firene who is good-natured and observant, despite being a “Brock-type” and always having his eyes closed. She prefers a pacifist approach to almost all things. Céline: Princess of Firene and Alfred’s sister.Alfred: spirited Prince of Firene who visited Alear on several occasions and is elated to join them in their quest. They’re both a little enamored with Alear. Cramme is gentle and soft-spoken, while Framme brings the energy between the two of them. Cramme and Framme: younger twin Dragon Guardians under the mentorship of Vander. Specifically, he’s a “Dragon Guardian” whose role within Lythos is to protect Alear.

I also enjoy Smart Layouts because they’re another outlet for trying new layout templates and experimenting with setup options. The changes I made were relatively minor but have made CARROT Weather more relevant as conditions change. When rain is in the forecast, I’ve got a layout that moves a precipitation graph and radar view to the spots just below the current conditions. For example, I created a Smart Layout for nighttime based on the Siren template that emphasizes the current conditions followed by the hourly and daily forecasts. With Smart Layouts, you can adjust your weather layouts for each circumstance. The app offers multiple subscription tiers, with different features at each level, which you can read more about in the app’s Settings. Version 5.0 was a big leap forward, but Brian Mueller has continued to refine the app and add new and interesting options that have taken the app’s personalization to a new level that I love.ĬARROT Weather is available as a free update on the App Store. It’s remarkable how much customization is now available in CARROT Weather. I’ve also simplified my tab bar to mirror how I use the app, which makes one-handed use easier. I’ve also added Pollen and Air Quality sections to my weather layout, which will be handy as the weather warms up and I head outside more. With the latest update, I’ve added daily forecasts to my Locations List for the cities where my kids live. The radar feature also reports hail and debris from tornados that are detected, which I’d prefer not to see any time soon, but I’m also glad it’s available. However, the good people of Wisconsin and Michigan are enjoying a bright pink wintery mix this morning, so you can see what that looks like in the screenshot above. Fortunately, we’re nearing the end of that kind of weather in the Chicago area, so I haven’t seen a wintery mix in CARROT’s weather map here. Maps now show when a wintery mix of precipitation is falling. The maps and radar functionality have also been expanded. When the weather is bad in Chicago, I look north to feel better. Some of the app’s features require a subscription, the details of which you can learn about on the App Store. Along with the redesign of the iPad app, version 5.8 is another excellent update from CARROT that I encourage everyone to check out.ĬARROT Weather 5.8 is available for download now on the App Store. I’ve been spending a lot of time pairing Lock Screens with Focus modes, and CARROT’s weather widgets have been a staple when I head out for a long walk or bike ride. All weather data providers seem to be strong in some parts of the world and weaker in others, including WeatherKit, but it’s good to have another choice, especially since Dark Sky will no longer offer forecasts beginning next year. Whatever is most important to you, there’s bound to be a widget for it in CARROT Weather.įinally, CARROT Weather has added another weather data provider: Apple’s own WeatherKit service. The remainder of the widgets are circular ones that offer a long list of data points like the current conditions, the current temperature along with the forecast high and low, the change of precipitation, wind speed, UV Index, Air Quality, and more. Four of those widgets, Snark, Custom Conditions, Hourly Forecast, and Daily Forecast, are the larger rectangular variety. In addition to the new iPad design and new sections available in the iPhone and iPad versions of the app, CARROT Weather now comes with a whopping 20 Lock Screen widgets for the iPhone. A few of CARROT Weather’s circular Lock Screen widgets. The first example is an unrecorded number by Buddy Bolden, remembered as either " Funky Butt" or "Buddy Bolden's Blues" with improvised lyrics that were, according to Donald M. In early jam sessions, musicians would encourage one another to " get down" by telling one another, "Now, put some stank on it!" At least as early as 1907, jazz songs carried titles such as Funky. Even though in white culture, the term "funk" can have negative connotations of odor or being in a bad mood ("in a funk"), in African communities, the term "funk", while still linked to body odor, had the positive sense that a musician's hard-working, honest effort led to sweat, and from their "physical exertion" came an "exquisite" and "superlative" performance. In 1784 "funky" meaning "musty" was first documented, which, in turn, led to a sense of "earthy" that was taken up around 1900 in early jazz slang for something "deeply or strongly felt". It is originally derived from Latin "fumigare" (which means "to smoke") via Old French "fungiere" and, in this sense, it was first documented in English in 1620. The word funk initially referred (and still refers) to a strong odor. Look up funk in Wiktionary, the free dictionary. Funk samples and breakbeats have been used extensively in hip hop and electronic dance music. It is also the main influence of Washington go-go, a funk sub-genre. Express, Shalamar, One Way, Lakeside, Dazz Band, The Gap Band, Slave, Aurra, Roger Troutman & Zapp, Con Funk Shun, Cameo, Bar-Kays and Chic began adopting and developing Brown's innovations during the 1970s and the 1980s.įunk derivatives include avant-funk, an avant-garde strain of funk boogie, a hybrid of electronic music and funk funk metal G-funk, a mix of gangsta rap and psychedelic funk Timba, a form of funky Cuban dance music and funk jam. Other musical groups, including Kool and the Gang, Parliament-Funkadelic, Ohio Players, Fatback Band, Jimmy Castor Bunch, Earth, Wind & Fire, B.T. It uses the same richly colored extended chords found in bebop jazz, such as minor chords with added sevenths and elevenths, and dominant seventh chords with altered ninths and thirteenths.įunk originated in the mid-1960s, with James Brown's development of a signature groove that emphasized the downbeat-with a heavy emphasis on the first beat of every measure ("The One"), and the application of swung 16th notes and syncopation on all basslines, drum patterns, and guitar riffs -and rock and psychedelia-influenced musicians Sly and the Family Stone and Jimi Hendrix, fostering improvisation in funk. Funk typically consists of a complex percussive groove with rhythm instruments playing interlocking grooves that create a "hypnotic" and "danceable" feel. It deemphasizes melody and chord progressions and focuses on a strong rhythmic groove of a bassline played by an electric bassist and a drum part played by a percussionist, often at slower tempos than other popular music. Funk is a music genre that originated in African American communities in the mid-1960s when musicians created a rhythmic, danceable new form of music through a mixture of various music genres that were popular among African Americans in the mid-20th century. Here are some of the common methods people use for skin tag removal at home with comments about their application and success: □ LigationĪs mentioned above, a doctor may suggest you try tying off a tag. If a tag is constantly irritated it can become a bit painful or even bleed. They can sometimes be inconvenient and many people want to have them removed because they don’t like the way they look. They aren’t contagious and simple skin tags don’t become cancerous. Skin tags are benign skin lesions which are harmless. It’s important to see a doctor if you have a new lesion or there are any changes to existing ones. It usually goes away by itself in a few months. Although harmless molluscum contagiosum can be a bit itchy and spread to other parts of the body. The lesions however are circular spots with a central dimple rather than a tag rising from the skin surface. Like tags, these are commonly found in the armpits, groin and behind the knees. There’s a childhood viral condition called molluscum contagiosum which you might confuse for skin tags. Tags usually start as tiny bumps and gradually get bigger. Friction can come from skin rubbing against skin, such as in the armpits, or from clothes or jewellery rubbing against skin. This leads to overgrowth of cells and the development of skin tags. What causes skin tagsįriction or rubbing against the skin surface irritates skin cells. Skin tags are often attached to the skin by a thin stalk, also known as a peduncle. Inside there are collagen fibres, blood vessels, nerve fibres and fat cells. Skin tags are covered in epidermis, the usual outer layer of skin. They are a type of benign (harmless) skin tumour. They are usually only 2 to 3 millimetres in size but they can grow up to 5 centimetres over time. Skin tags are small flaps of tissue which stick out from the skin. Some people choose to have them removed for cosmetic purposes or because they are catching on clothing.ĭr Juliet McGrattan looks at the common causes, risk factors, treatment options and home remedies for skin tag removal: They vary in colour and size and are completely harmless. When a circuit breaker trips, it trips both circuits. These breakers are often used with electric dryers, water heaters, and underfloor heating. It can serve two 120-volt circuits or a single 240-volt circuit. Does a double pole breaker need a neutral?Ī double pole breaker is a type of circuit breaker that has two hot wires and a neutral wire in between them. In a double-pole breaker, however, an overload will trip both breaker. Single-pole breakers, on the other hand, only have one hot wire. They are installed on the main electrical panel of the home. If either of the wires trips, the breaker will shut down all electrical appliances in the house.ĭouble-pole breakers provide 15-150 amps of power. Each wire is 120 volts long, and the two together carry 240 volts. They are the first point of contact with power from the power meter. They are designed to be a safety device for a home’s electrical system. In these cases, the red wire should be clearly labeled.ĭouble-pole circuit breakers are double-wide and occupy two slots in the breaker box. In some cases, you may need to connect a red wire to the front of the breaker. In most cases, you should attach the black hot wire to the back of the breaker. Which wire goes where on a double pole breaker?Ī double-pole breaker has two hot wires and one neutral wire. This will ensure that the two circuits are properly separated. To properly wire a double pole breaker, remember to match the size and wire gauge of the single pole breaker to the size and gauge of the double pole breaker. This means it can power two 120V circuits, or one 240V circuit. In general, the double pole circuit breaker has two hot wires and one neutral wire. Double pole breakers have a 15-amp rating, and they are typically used in homes. Next, hook up the breaker in the desired slot. You can use a flat head screwdriver to loosen and re-insert the ground wire. To do this, cut one half of the protective insulation from the hot wire.
